Powerful Engine Options for Dynamic Drive
The Astor is offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which generates 110 PS and 144 Nm of torque, coupled to either a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.
The second, more powerful option is a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 140 PS and 220 Nm of torque, attached to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. This engine drives amazing performance and response for city cruising and highway travel.
AI Assistant for Smarter Driving
One of the most interesting selling features of the MG Astor is its in-built AI assistant. It resides on the dashboard as a small animated robot chatting up the driver and in voice commands to get information, help with navigation, or even give fun facts. It also operates certain functions of the vehicle to create a more intuitive driving experience coordinating the two. This is the first system of this kind invented in the segment and shows MG’s innovation voice reserves.
Safety and Connectivity
It is fitted with advanced safety features including six airbags, ESP, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) in each variant of the MG Astor. Among the features that include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are the infotainment systems. Remote vehicle control and real-time updates are now part of the i-SMART tech platform.
